11/09/08Wiz Kid Rider has invented his first bit of magic, which will be added to the description of the Four Card Monte routine he has been working on with Professor Spellbinder at The Magic Nook. It could just be a lucky "fluke" so we will wait to see if he comes up with any more. It takes three magic inventions before he can be inducted into the group of Magic Nook Magic Inventors the way his cousin Wiz Kid Qua-Fiki was. Still, even some famous magicians never get past one invention, or never invent anything new, so for Rider, one invention is extraordinary, considering how young and new he is to all things magic. |

11/08/08Wiz Kid Rider has been collaborating with "Grandpa" Spellbinder at The Magic Nook and has just released his Wiz Kid Routine with the Rabbits and Top Hats that he is currently using in Wiz Kid shows. It's a very old magic trick with new ideas added and Rider is planing to make a video of it soon. |

10/21/08It took Wiz Kid Rider exactly 11 days to master the first stage of riding a unicycle. This afternoon, he went around the track at Watsessing Park in East Orange two times, unassisted. No, he did not fall off (photo on the right), but collapsed with happiness on finally making it and earning his own unicycle.Click on either photo to collect the large versions of the photos. Next we went to the Brookdale Cycle Store in Bloomfield to order Rider's personal unicycle, and when he came back to the park later in the day, he not only rode around the track, but also showed that he had learned to mount the unicycle on his own without help, and discovered that he could also travel around in large circles, which usually takes a few more days to master. |

10/11/08Wiz Kid Rider joins the Fall group of Wiz Kids, but because he learns things so fast, he will probably be performing with the Spring/Summer group. He started out with the unicycle, and went very quickly from juggling scarves to juggling bean bags. His magic progressed just as fast, going from a simple rope routine to performing "The Mongolian Pop Knots" in just a few days. |
