The East Orange Unified Marching Band got on the
school bus today and drove to Campus High for a pep rally before
tomorrow's decisive game with Seton Hall Prep School at Paul
Robeson Stadium.
Once they were off the bus, the students formed
up and began to tune up their instruments before marching up to
the Campus High Gymnasium.
In the hall elading to the gymnasium, they
reformed and got ready to march in as a band and bring some
additional excitement to the students already gathered inside.
The pep rally was in full swing prior to the
arrival of the band. The gymnasium was packed with students ready
to cheer and make noise at any excuse.
DJ Frosty (center with microphone in hand), an
alumnus of Cicely Tyson High School, was present to energize the
crowd. On the far left (red cap) is Dr Harris, principal of
Campus High School, and to the right of DJ Frosty in the red
shirt is Athletic Director, Mr. Hassan.
When the East Orange Unified Marching Band began
to perform, the crowd got to its feet and went wild with
enthusiasm. This audience is as ready for tomorrow's game as it
can be and we hope the football team shares that enthusiasm, as
well.
