They're Back!

The bus rolled up a few minutes
past 10 o'clock, carrying weary campers home from Camp Green Lane
in Pennsylvania. As the band members disembarked, they were
telling everyone they met what a great time they had. Between now
and September 10th (the first football game performance) we'll
try to see how much they improved with their musical and marching
skills. For now, all they want to do is get home and get to
sleep.

Allan Theodore shows a Drum
Major's Mace that he made while at Summer Camp as a craft
project. All the campers made one, but Allan carried his home
proudly and had to show us the moment he got off the bus. Perhaps
he is a future Drum Major in the making? Also note the T-Shirt he
is wearing. It is one made by our own T-Shirt design and
production team.

Before they go, Ms Saez gives
each Band Member who attended the Summer Camp Program a special
T-shirt designed and silk-screen printed by our new T-shirt team.
To see a closeup of the design, click on the photo. Now that Band
Camp is over, this is the T-shirt they will wear to practices.

There are hugs for all the returning campers,
and special hugs for Mr. Goode for making the summer camp
possible. Tomorrow the band members will be seeing him once more
as Mr. Goode, Director of the Unified Marching Band, but tonight
it is just good-bye to Camp Director Fred.
