We're not going to cover Band Camp day by day, but the first
day is important because it lets us know how many students are
returning for another year, how many are brand new this year, and
how much work the band has to do to get ready for Football Season
which begins on September 10th this year.
The students begin filing in and filling up the
rows as Mr. Goode begins the instruction. So far we can see a
good mix of instrument players. Later on, we'll point out the new
faces in the band.
After a morning of instrumental work, the
students are ready for some marching instructions from Mr. Goode.
Even though many are former band members, it never hurts to start
at the beginning and help new band members along the way.
It doesn't take the students long to get back in
step. More students will be coming to Band Camp in the weeks
ahead as they finish up their summer jobs programs, but it looks
like a great start for the new season.
